Nobody walks in unannounced
Turn on the waiting room and people knock instead of arriving. Admit them one at a time, or lock the meeting once everyone's in. Someone you turned away stays turned away, even if you switch the waiting room off later.

What it does
Turn on the waiting room and people knock instead of arriving. Admit them one at a time, or lock the meeting once everyone's in. Someone you turned away stays turned away, even if you switch the waiting room off later.
Mute one person or the whole room, take back screen sharing, remove someone. Enforced on the server, so it isn't a suggestion the browser can skip.
Room-wide and private messages in one panel, with the recipient named on every line. A direct message goes only to that person. It isn't broadcast and hidden.
Send someone a code or a link and they're in, on a phone, on a laptop, in whatever browser they already have open. Signing in is for hosting, not for joining.
A room nobody has spoken in for fifteen minutes shuts down instead of quietly running up someone's data in a forgotten tab.
If you already have a ShommyX Mobile account, that's your Meet account too. Same email, same password, nothing new to remember. Meet never sees your ShommyX password: it asks ShommyX to check it and is told yes or no.
The part nobody else measures
Data is not free everywhere. Meet starts on a setting that suits your connection and shows you, live, how much you've used, then lets you drop to audio-only mid-meeting if you'd rather keep the gigabytes.
Cameras and microphones start OFF, on every device. You turn yourself on; nothing turns you on for you.

180p at 15fps. Built for mobile data, at a fraction of what HD costs.
Everyone in a meeting picks their own. Simulcast means a laptop on Wi-Fi can send HD while a phone on mobile data receives the small layer of the same camera, so one person's good connection never costs anyone else, and one person's bad one never holds the room back. Figures are for receiving in a five-person meeting; they flatten in larger ones.
Sign in and hit Start now. The meeting exists the moment you ask for it, with no scheduling required.
Five characters, or the link if that's easier. WhatsApp it, read it down the phone, put it on a slide.
They open it and they're in. Let them wait at the door first if you'd rather.

Video meetings that run in a browser. Start one, share a five-character code, and talk. Guests join from any phone or laptop with nothing to download, and you choose the quality: full HD on Wi-Fi, or a fraction of the data when you're not.
